Our good friend and fellow Spurs supporter Bob did manage to get Nora three complimentary tickets for the Tottenham Legends match v Inter Milan legends 31 Mar 2019 .https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XLnu1YlzikU An exciting game, Inter didn't read the script and won 4 - 5 at full time.
This was one of the test fixtures ahead of the opening of the new stadium with capacity crowds. Alex and Heather went with her as her carers. Bob had explained her medical condition and that she once had a season ticket on the shelf. Nora thoroughly enjoyed the visit and put a stadium tour onto her bucket list.
On 29th March of this year, almost three years to the day since the Legends match Bob kindly took the three of us to the stadium for a pre-booked tour. We had the most enjoyable visit seeing the whole ground taking in all you would expect NFL changing rooms etc. and even a few trophies! The three of us had plenty of opportunity and there were plenty of knowledgeable and enthusiastic stewards and guides to ask as well as a superb self guided audio tour. We were in the ground c three hours could have spent longer but had to come out due to our time up for parking. I would recommend it to anyone even if you are not a Spurs fan probably the best club stadium in Europe or the world.
On the way back I asked Bob to detour so Nora could see the Topiary Elephants I knew were fairly close by at the junction of Romilly Road and Ambler Road in Finsbury Park which we did and she enjoyed seeing. Nora always liked her Topiary (e.g. at Levens Hall) and especially if they were elephants. Not too many topiary elephants I know of which is why I wanted her to see them
I was pleased we did it when we did as within a few weeks she wouldn't have been able to, last thing to be ticked off the bucket list although she was on her third bucket list the inability to travel after her cancer moved to her brain put pay to many sadly.
Thanks Bob. Nora really loved that day and spoke of it often when friends visited.
